Proposal Writing Workshop

Proposal Writing Workshop

Over 39,000 grantseekers have learned what grantmakers have to say about creating a competitive grant proposal by taking the Foundation Center’s Proposal Writing Seminar.

Now the Proposal Writing Seminar has been enhanced to give grantseekers hands-on proposal writing experience plus a deeper understanding of the funder’s process. This new Proposal Writing Workshop is based on insights collected from foundation and corporate representatives for the 6th edition of The Foundation Center’s Guide to Proposal Writing.

Using group exercises, case studies, and the participant’s own proposal outline, the Proposal Writing Workshop will help participants understand the components of a competitive grant proposal, discover what grantmakers consider “red flags,” and learn how to cultivate potential institutional donors.

Topics
  • The grantseeking process, including the impact of technology
  • Components of a competitive grant proposal
  • Tips from funders to proposal writers
  • The grantmaker’s process and criteria for funding decisions
